SOCIAL ACCOUNTABILITYSA-8000

Ribbontex Srl carries out its business in a market highly oriented towards quality control throughout the production chain, in terms of product standards, sustainability and company ethics. Therefore in the context of its quality policy Ribbontex Srl has placed two main factors at the centre of its management:

  • the quality of services,
  • the corporate social responsibility towards workers.
To operate properly and constantly on these issues, the company has chosen to be certified SA8000: 2014.
The SA8000: 2014 standard is ethical and it commits Ribbontex Srl in terms of behavior towards its workers.
The production result and the quality of the work performed depend not only on the company’s internal processes but also on the quality and ethics of the supply chain. It is therefore a sensitivity that must permeate the internal life of the company but also the network of suppliers and contractors.
By achieving the SA8000: 2014 certification, Ribbontex Srl undertakes to respect the following requirements:
  • not to use or support the use of child labor;
  • not to use or support forced labor policies;
  • to guarantee a safe and healthy work environment for all the employees and to establish effective measures to prevent potential accidents and injuries to workers’ health;
  • to respect the workers’ right to join, form, participate or organize trade unions according to their will;
  • not to implement or support any type of discrimination, including exclusion or preference based on race, sex, age, religion, political opinion, nationality or social class;
  • not to use or support disciplinary practices except as the ones provided by the rules of the employment contract applied in addition to the fact of treating all staff members with dignity and respect;
  • to respect national and local laws and agreements applicable to working hours, leave work permits and holidays;
  • to pay employees in compliance with the national collective labor agreement of reference and possibly (if existing) the internal supplementary agreement;
  • to use a supply chain that is respectful of the principles mentioned in the previous points;
  • to maintain an active management system that ensures monitoring of the above points.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM POLICYISO-14001

The Ribbontex Management declares that its Policy is aimed at the complete satisfaction of its Customers through the supply of products/services that comply with the specific requests, with the protection of the environment thanks to the prevention or mitigation of negative environmental impacts and the continuous improvement of business processes.
With this purpose, the Management is actively committed to supporting and sharing the following general principles, identifying and updating:

  • the organizational context in which it develops its business, deciding the internal and external factors that can affect the ability to achieve the expected results;
  • the needs and the expectations of the interested parties;
  • the risks and the opportunities connected to the organizational context, the environmental aspects and the needs and expectations of the interested parties.

The protection of the environment, in all its possible forms such as the prevention of pollution, the minimization of waste production, the control of atmospheric and noise emissions and the preservation of natural resources (water, raw materials, energy), are the fundamental principles governing our Environmental Management System and to which the Company constantly refers in its operations, within the limits imposed by the available and economically feasible technologies.
The principles listed above involve the carrying out of periodic monitoring of environmental management and the definition of improvement goals formally set out and approved by the RIBBONTEX Srl Management, which defines the methods to be followed for their realization.
The activities that can generate environmental consequences have been brought under control through the implementation of procedures aimed at ensuring a careful supervision of the processes and the activities related to them.
All staff are therefore made aware that they operate within a system that has the aim to implement this policy, with which RIBBONTEX Srl undertakes to:

  • protect the environment, applying the best possible and economically viable technologies, monitoring production processes and taking preventive action to avoid or minimize pollution and any negative impact on the environment caused by its activities, products and services;
  • meet its compliance obligations;
  • pursue the continuous improvement of the Management System in order to increase its environmental performance through the definition of objectives and targets and the measurement of the progress reached.

With this purpose, the Management ensures the organization, the availability of the necessary human and material resources as well as adequate work environments, contributing personally to supporting and encouraging the Environmental Management System, functional to achieving the periodically defined objectives.
This document is spread and communicated to all employees and collaborators of the Company and it is available to interested parties (in particular suppliers, subcontractors and contractors), so that they are all aware of the individual and collective obligations, of the responsibilities in the management of environmental aspects and in the effective implementation of the company management system.
